Only connect the unit directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips. Position the device in a way so that the power plug is always accessible. Prior to first use, clean the unit's casing with a moist, soft cloth and mild cleaning agent. Remove the grooved cap on the cover and remove the cover from the unit. Thoroughly clean the unit's cover with a mild cleaning agent, rinse in clean water and dry thoroughly. the initial cleaning requires that you dismount the double sickle knife.
