[. . . ] X Press the rotary control/push button . 106 Address book You can store complete addresses with telephone numbers and other information in the address book. You can set up address book entries so that navigation to the selected address can be started directly from the address book. The address book then also serves as a destination memory for navigation. Address book Calling up the Address Book main menu You can create new entries, find entries and make voice entries in the Address Book main menu. X Creating an entry X In the Address Book main menu, select the 1HZ HQWU\ WH[W RQO\ entry. 6003 Press twice in succession. You are prompted to enter a surname. X or Press . X Select the $GGUHVV ERRN PHQX entry. X Calling up the address book X Press . Turn the rotary control/push button and then press the rotary control/push button to select each letter one after the other. 6001 The address book is called up. The address book fast access list appears. The last 20 address book entries used in the address book appear here. Note: Any address book entries to which route guidance was started via the navigation system will not appear in the fast access list. 6002 The Address Book main menu appears. Note: Select the symbol to delete the last character in the entry. Please also refer to the description in "Data entry menus" on page 12. 107 Address book Accept entry: X In the data entry menu, select the symbol. or X Press the rotary control/push button and hold it down for at least 2 seconds. 6005 You can now enter additional data: X Turn the rotary control/push button to select one of the following options: 0RELOH WHO, %XVLQHVV WHO, 3ULYDWH WHO, 6WUHHW KRXVH QXPEHU, 3RVWFRGH WRZQ, &RXQWU\, %XVLQHVV HPDLO, 3ULYDWH HPDLO :::ZDS 6004 You are prompted to enter a first name. Note: If you do not wish to enter a surname or first name, select the symbol in the data entry menu or press the rotary control/push button and hold it down for at least 2 seconds. However, a name must be stored with the entry (first name or surname). X Note: If for example a telephone number has been entered for 0RELOH WHO, this will appear in the menu instead of 0RELOH WHO. To enable you to identify numbers subsequently, symbols appear in front of the individual entries. Once you have entered all the information, you must save the entry. X Select the 6DYH entry. and Confirm your selection by pressing the rotary control/push button . The appropriate data entry menu appears. X Enter the required information. X 6006 X Enter a first name in the same way as a surname. Confirm your selection by pressing the rotary control/push button . 108 Address book If, under "Automatic dialogue" on page 131, you specified that a prompt to record a name should appear when an address entry is created, you will be prompted to record a name. Creating an entry which supports navigation X Once you have entered the address, you must confirm your entry. You can enter additional data: Turn the rotary control/push button to select one of the following options: 0RELOH WHOO, %XVLQHVV WHO, 3ULYDWH WHO, %XVLQHVV HPDLO, 3ULYDWH HPDLO :::ZDS In the Address Book main menu, select the 1HZ HQWU\ QDYLJDEOH entry. X 6007 Select <HV (record) or 1R (do not record). If you select <HV, a name will now be recorded. X Note: The memory card with the navigation data must be inserted in order to create an address book entry which supports navigation. If the memory card is not inserted, you will be prompted to insert it. X and 6008 Once you have recorded a name, the following information appears on the display. Enter a surname and first name as described in "Creating an entry" on page 107. Confirm your selection by pressing the rotary control/push button . The appropriate data entry menu appears.
