When the cabinet is first time on or after one power interruption the self test is initiated, what is mean that all the components are sequentely started one-by-one. After the self test the components (compressor, heaters, fans) are started according with the setings with posiblle delays. After finishing the tests, the component parts of the appliance will be activated according to the set temperature value, and there is the possibility that some of them have certain delays. To measure the temperature in a certain area inside the refrigerator (for instance on the shelf) you can use a thermometer placed in a vessel full with water (glass).
