· One VGA, SVGA or Multisync compatible analog video card with a PC standard high density female DB15 connector · One or more VGA, SVGA or Multisync compatible analog monitors with a PC standard high density male DB15 cable Notes: · For each monitor to be extended beyond the length of its attached cable, use Belkin Part# F2N025-06-T, VGA Extension cable. · For high resolution, high refresh rate, or long distance applications, use a coaxial and double-shielded VGA cable such as Belkin Part# F3H981-XX or A3H981-XX.

Hardware Installation
Overview
Installation of the ExpandViewTM involves four quick and easy steps to connect four or eight monitors to a single computer video output or extend monitors to distances as much as 200 feet (60. 96 meters) from a computer. Simply power on the attached computer and instantly all of the attached monitors receive clear and colorful images. Connecting each monitor to the ExpandViewTM will be simple if the correct cables are used. The ExpandViewTM accepts standard high density DB15 monitor cables for each of the video outputs. For monitors that are at extended distances, connect a Belkin Premium VGA Extension Cable (Part# F2N025-XX) in between the monitor's cable and the ExpandViewTM. Connecting the computer is also simpleuse a Belkin Premium VGA Extension Cable with Thumbscrews (Part# F2N025-XX-T) from the high density DB15 female port on the VGA compatible video card to the high density DB15 male video input port on the ExpandViewTM. NOTE: The "-XX" in the part number represents the length in feet (1 ft. = 0. 30m).

The ExpandViewTM may be cascaded to increase the number of monitors that images will be displayed on. · To cascade ExpandViewsTM, connect the Video In port of one ExpandViewTM to the Video Out port of another ExpandViewTM. Setting the Gain
The ExpandViewTM has a slide switch on the bottom of the unit that has two settings: Lo and Hi. · Lo (default) - Use the Lo setting when the cables being used to connect monitors to the ExpandViewTM are 6 feet - 25 feet (1. 8 - 7. 6 meters), or when the ExpandViewTM is not being cascaded. · Hi - Use the Hi setting when the cables being used to connect monitors to the ExpandViewTM are greater than 25 feet(7. 6 meters), or when the ExpandViewTM is being cascaded with other ExpandViewsTM. Only use this setting if the Lo setting does not produce clear and colorful images.
