5. 4 PROGRAMMING: Starter Setup - Starter Modes . [. . . ] If the motor accelerates to a speed which is greater than the jog speed, then either the kick current or kick time should be decreased. Values Default The kick current parameter is adjustable from 50% to 400% in 1% increments. The default value for the kick current parameter is 300%.
Kick Time
Description The kick time parameter sets the length of time that the current level, as specified by the kick current, is applied to the motor. The kick time parameter is adjustable from 0. 1 to 10. 0 seconds in 0. 1 second intervals. The kick time parameter can also be set to Off. The default value for the kick time is Off.

FWD Speed
Description The forward speed parameter sets the frequency of the cyclically converted signal that reaches the motor while the starter is operating in the forward direction and the forward jog at set speed mode is selected. This is done by applying 120VAC to input terminal 4 of the JC13 terminal block on the RediStart Micro II computer card. The forward speed can be set to 7% or 14%. The default value for the forward speed is 14%.

FS Volts (Full Speed Volts)
Description The FS Volts parameter sets the tachometer input voltage at full speed. This value should be set at full (unloaded) motor speed. For example: A tachometer rated at 0. 0033 volts-per-rpm is mounted on a 4-pole 1800 rpm motor. field to the stator of the motor which applies a braking torque to the rotor which makes it stop much in the same way the 3 phase rotating magnetic field brings the motor up to operating speed. braking current rated as a percentage of the motor FLA value that are available depending on the type of starter. In Heavy-Duty brake applications, caution must be used to assure the motor has the thermal capacity to brake the desired load, in the desired period of time, without excessive heating.

Description The brake #1 current parameter sets the level of D. C. If the motor braking is too fast, the current should be reduced. If the motor is not braking fast enough, the current level should be increased. To minimize motor heating, only the necessary level of current should be used. The brake #1 current is adjustable from 10% to 100% of available brake current in 1% increments. The default value for the brake #1 current is 25%.
