Notes: After the first time that you pair your BlackBerry Smart Card Reader and your BlackBerry device, pairing is designed to initiate automatically whenever a connection is required.

You are prompted when Bluetooth pairing exists but secure pairing is not complete, such as when secure pairing expires. On the BlackBerry device, type the secure pairing key that appears on the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader. On the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader, click the Action button.
Clear the secure pairing key
1. Perform one of the following actions: · If you are running BlackBerry device software version 4. 0 or 4. 0. 2, in your BlackBerry device options, click BlackBerry Smart Card Reader. · If you are running BlackBerry device software version 4. 1, in your BlackBerry device options, click Security Options. Under Registered Reader Drivers, click BlackBerry. You are prompted to type the new secure pairing key. On the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader, press the Action button.
