Remove the dust cover 10 for applications without dust extraction as well as when performing mitre cuts. Bosch Power Tools Sliding Shoe (PST 1000 PEL) When working surfaces that are easily scratched, the sliding shoe 11 can be attached onto the base plate 7 in order to prevent the surface from being scratched. To attach the sliding shoe 11, insert it at the front of the base plate 7, push the rear part upward and allow it to latch. Splinter Guard The splinter guard 22 (accessory) can prevent fraying of the surface while sawing wood. The splinter guard can only be used for certain saw blade types and only for cutting angles of 0°. When sawing with the splinter guard, the base plate 7 must not be moved back for cuts that are close to the edge. Press the splinter guard 22 from the bottom into the base plate 7. PST 1000 PEL (see figure C): When using the sliding shoe 11, the splinter guard 22 is not inserted into the base plate 7, but into the sliding shoe.
