q Use only tap water or tap water mixed with distilled water if the tap water is hard!Other liquids will damage the appliance. NEVER fill above the "Max. " mark, otherwise the tank will overflow!Water hardness Medium Hard Very hard Mixing ratio of tap water to distilled water: 2:1 1:1 1:2
q Do not fill the tank above the "Max. " mark.

q Set temperature to "Max. " and press the motor steam button. If the set temperature is too low, the steam is auto matically switched off to prevent dripping. Should not be used on setting · since no steam would be prodused. Steam jet can only be used on settings · · · ·.

q Press the spray button for a spray of water.
Vertical steam feature
q Hang article of clothing on a clothes hanger. q Operate the iron in a vertical position at a distance of 10 - 20 cm / 4 - 8 in. . q Press the motor steam button repeatedly with pauses of at least 5 seconds. Do NOT iron clothing which is being worn!

Unplug the iron first!To descale the nozzle Never descale the tank or treat with detergents or solvents, as this would cause water to drip from the iron when generating or spraying steam!every 4 weeks heat up the iron with a full tank for 3 minutes at max. q Hold the iron over a bowl and press the motor steam button until the motor automatically switches off (recognisable by noise and vibration). again and press the motor steam button for 2-3 minutes to flush out the steam chamber.
