DIN Front-mount (Method A) Installation opening This unit can be installed in any dashboard with an opening as shown below: - Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight, or from hot air from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration. [. . . ] Do not allow any volatile liquids such as benzene, paint thinner or insecticides to contact the front panel. Do not attempt to disassemble the front panel. Disc Notes 3 . Place the front panel into the protective case provided . A. Attempting to use non-standard shape discs (e. g. square, start, and heart) may damage the unit. Be sure to use circular CD discs only for this unit. Do not stick paper or tape, etc, onto the label side or the recording side of any discs, as it may cause a malfunction. If after pressing RESET button the unit still does not function properly, use a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the socket on the back of front panel. Press VOL / button (10) to adjust the desired sound quality. Once you are in the MENU mode, press the SELECT button repeatedly to cycle through the following setup choices: Select the desired item by press VOL button (10) . / Loudness function Press and hold the BAND/LOUDNESS (8) to engage the LOUDNESS mode to reinforce the output of bass frequencies.
