Januar 2007 12:09 12 II Making coffee Note: Your coffeemaker is equipped with a reusable gold tone filter (L), which may be used instead of paper filters. Please note the following: Your coffee should be a medium grind; a very fine grind could cause the filter basket to overflow. Scoop the ground coffee into the center of the gold tone filter and prepare your coffee as described above. To clean, rinse the gold tone filter under running water. After using the filter for some time, clean it with a soft brush or sponge – do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. The gold tone filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Fill the tank with cold, fresh water (d), press the filter basket push button release (G) to open the filter basket, insert a No. 4 paper filter or the gold tone filter, put in ground coffee and close the filter basket.
