Since the NanoGlide Ceramic plates are 3 times smoother than conventional ceramic plates, they protect your hair from damage by providing friction-free gliding. [. . . ] The short handle accommodates the small energy cell (a), while the large energy cell (b) fits into the long handle. In order to insert or change the energy cell, the energy supply must be switched off (switch (B) on position «0»). Press the release button (G) to pull off the handle (H). Insert a Braun energy cell into the handle (arrows on energy cell pointing outwards). Push the handle back onto the appliance until it snaps into place. These are available from the shop where this appliance was purchased, as well as from authorised Braun Service Agents. The energy cells can be taken out or changed at any time, even if they are only partly filled. Then slide it further up to the «start» position until you can clearly hear a click. The ignition window (C) lights up to show that the appliance starts heating up. In the unlikely case that it does not heat up, make sure the energy supply is on and push the switch (B) to the start position again. After approximately 2 minutes, the ready indicator dot (D) changes colour. You can store away the appliance (even in a bag) immediately after usage. Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the appliance. First, comb or brush your hair to remove tangles. Place a strand (3 - 4 cm width maximum) between the straightening plates and clamp it close to the roots. It is easier if you hold the hair section at an angle away from your head. [. . . ] This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper use, normal wear or use as well as defects that have a negligible effect on the value or operation of the appliance. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorised persons and if original Braun parts are not used. To obtain service within the guarantee period, hand in or send the complete appliance with your sales receipt to an authorised Braun Customer Service Centre. [. . . ]
