Briggs & Stratton does not approve or authorize the use of these engines on 3-wheel All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), motor bikes, fun/recreational go-karts, aircraft products, or vehicles intended for use in competitive events. Allow the engine to run and warm up for several minutes before operating the equipment. Move the throttle control (B) to the slow position. However, to obtain "no charge" emissions control service, the work must be performed by a factory authorized dealer. If engine floods, set choke (if equipped) to open/run position, move throttle (if equipped) to fast position, and crank until engine starts. To prolong starter life, use short starting cycles, not to exceed 15 seconds per minute. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause nausea, fainting or death. Do not start or run engine in enclosed area, even if doors or windows are open. Do not tamper with governor spring, links or other parts to increase engine speed. Start and run engine at idle for five minutes. [. . . ] B&S recommends that you retain all your receipts covering maintenance on your engine, but B&S cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance. As the engine owner, you should however be aware that B&S may deny you warranty coverage if your engine or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance or unapproved modifications. You are responsible for presenting your engine to an Authorized B&S Service Dealer as soon as a problem exists.
