It is designed to interwork with the basic network functions for facsimile and telephony in most European countries. Broadcasting See "Setting Number Groups for Broadcasting" chap. 7 Using the numbers you have stored in Groups, One Touch and Super TelIndex memory, you can "broadcast" faxes automatically to up to 48 different locations in a few simple steps. 1 Insert the document in the feeder. This way, you don't have to wait for it to finish sending or receiving the other fax. You can dial this fax call manually, or by using Redial or One Touch dialling. (When you use One Touch Dial, only the memory location­­not the name of the person you're calling­­ is displayed. ) 1 Insert the documents in the feeder. If necessary, press Resolution to adjust resolution. 2 Enter the fax number. The screen displays NEXT-FAX RESERVD 5 To cancel the reservation, remove the documents and press Stop. SETUP SEND 67 You can't use this feature if there is a document waiting in the feeder (possibly for Delayed Transmission or Polling Transmit), or when the timer has been interrupted. Also, you can't use Super Tel-Index for this feature. Multiple Resolution Transmission Use this feature to select separate resolution settings for each page of the fax you're sending. This could be useful if you're sending a fax with photos and letters, or some pages with small print and others with normal print. Resolution settings return to STANDARD after the fax is sent. 1 Inset documents in feeder, then press Menu, 3, 4. 2 Use Z or X to select resolution for page 1, then press Set. The screen displays: ACCEPTED NEXT 1. YES 2. NO 4 Press 1 if you want to select additional settings. The display returns to the Setup Send menu­­OR­­Press 2 if you are finished choosing settings, and go to Step 5. The screen prompts you to enter the fax number you want to call. 5 Enter the fax number you're calling, and press Start. If you want to copy a document using multiple resolutions, press Copy in Step 5. Setup for Polling Transmit Polling Transmit is when you set up your fax machine to wait with a document so another fax machine can retrieve it. 1 Place document to be retrieved in feeder. 3 The screen displays POLLING:STANDARD SELECT { } & SET 4 Press Z or X to choose STANDARD. 68 CHAPTER SIX 5 Press Set. The screen displays POLLED WAITING. Once you set this feature, you will have to interrupt the timer to send a fax (Menu, 5).
