Press and hold down Press and hold down to turn the machine on. All the LEDs turn off when you enable the Power Off mode. Also, you can use the following functions: Current Job Cancel / All Jobs Cancel Error recovery / Form feed For details, see Power On/Off key on page 44 2 WiFi (HL-1210W and HL-1211W only) Press the WiFi button and launch the wireless installer on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a wireless connection between your machine and your network. When the WiFi light is on, your Brother machine is connected to a wireless access point. When the WiFi light blinks, the wireless connection is down, or your machine is in the process of connecting to a wireless access point. 3 Error LED ( ) The Error LED ( ) indicates that the machine is in error state. Also, the Error LED ( ) indicates the kind of error in combination with other LEDs. 4 Ready LED ( ) The Ready LED ( ) will blink depending on the machine status. 38 General Information The LED indications shown in the table below are used in the illustrations in this chapter. While the machine is in Sleep Mode, the Ready LED ( ) is dimmed, but the machine can still receive data. Receiving a print job will automatically wake up the machine to start printing. For more information, see Sleep Time on page 46. Deep Sleep The machine is in Deep Sleep Mode, reducing more power consumption than Sleep mode. While the machine is in Deep Sleep Mode, the Ready LED ( ) is dimmed, but the machine can still receive data. Receiving a print job will automatically wake up the machine to start printing.
