Scroll to the entry you want, press SeleCt to open the entry. Use the keypad to enter a name then press ok. You can edit the number if required, then press ok. Select a ringtone melody and press SeleCt to save the entry. Delete an entry in the Calls list 1. Scroll to the entry you want, press SeleCt to open the entry. The screen then returns to the Calls list again, without the deleted entry. Press BACk to return to the previous menu level. Delete entire Calls list 1. Press SeleCt to open any entry, press Menu. Press BACk at any time to return to the previous menu level. Each individual incoming message can be up to 3 minutes long. You can operate your answering machine from: · the handset. · remotely, from any other TouchtoneTM telephone, see page 36. Your BT Edge 1500 comes with two pre-recorded outgoing messages, Answer and Record or Answer Only, alternatively you can record your own version of each. You will need to set the day, date and time (if you have not already done so) so that you will know when each message was received. If you have subscribed to your network's Caller Display service, the date and time is set automatically when you receive your first call. To set the date and time manually, see page 26. Using the answering machine at the base Set the answer mode 1. Press to toggle between the 3 settings: Answer and record, Answer only or Answer off. The setting is announced. Your BT Edge 1500 answering machine has voice prompts to help you use its settings and features.
