To delete your own outgoing message and re-instate the pre-recorded outgoing message via the base unit
You can delete your personalised outgoing message and return to your Freestyle 65's pre-recorded outgoing message. First select the outgoing message you want to delete, see page 22. Whilst your selected outgoing message is playing press the DELETE button on the base unit. The message will stop playing and you will hear a short beep, then the default pre-recorded outgoing message.

Press the SCREEN/MENU button. The prompt will announce, "To play outgoing message, press 2". To play the currently selected outgoing message that you wish to replace. Whilst your outgoing message is being played you will hear a confirmation beep, followed by the voice prompt announcing the default pre-recorded outgoing message.

To pause a message during playback
While listening to the message, press the PLAY button.
To playback messages
Press the PLAY button. The prompt will announce, "You have (n) messages". Your message(s) will be played back, starting with the first message received. At the start of each message, the number of the message is announced. The message number will also be shown on the base unit display.
The message will be paused. You will hear a beep every 10 seconds and the message display will show P flashing. Press the PLAY button again to resume playback.

To skip forward and backward through messages (including fast forward playback)

To delete all messages
Press the SKIP button to skip forwards to the next message. If you press and hold the SKIP button the current message will be played at 11/2 times the speed (fast forward playback). Press the SKIP button to return to the start of the current message. Press again to return to the start of the previous message.
When all messages have been played the prompt will announce, "End of messages. To delete all messages, press delete". [. . . ] You may have pressed a number key on the handset after pressing the SCREEN/MENU button. The current handset will try to transfer the call to another handset. The handset needs recharging or there is an incoming call.
Relocate the base unit or move around with the handset until reception improves. Don't press the TALK button when storing numbers, see page 13. [. . . ]
