Connecting to your Power-Over-Ethernet Supply Adapter (WLE-POE-S)
The WLE-POE-S Power Supply Adapter is an adapter for supplying power the AirStation. Using this product enables compatible AirStations or AirStations with a compatible POE Receiver Adapter to be used in locations that are not provided with a nearby power source. [. . . ] Doing so may result in damage or burnout of the hub or PC Connect a POE-compatible AirStation or a compatible POR Receiver Adapter to the POE port.
Supplying Power to a POE-compatible AirStation
Connect the POE-compatible AirStation to the POE port using CAT5 cable. Connect the hub or PC to the Power Supply Adapter's LAN port. Connect the AC adapter to the AC outlet.

Supplying Power to non-POE-compatible AirStations
Connect the hub or PC to the LAN port of the WLE-POE-S Power Supply

Connect CAT5 cable between the POE ports of the WLE-POE-S Power Supply
Adapter and the WLE-POE-R33/R7 Receiver Adapter. Adapter.
Connect the AirStation to the LAN port of the WLE-POE-R33/R7 Receiver Connect the AC adapter of the WLE-POE-S Power Supply Adapter to the

NOTE: Using a cable other then CAT5 may prevent the supply of power to the AirStation. Also, the POE receiver does not have a repeater function. Thus, the total length of cable allowed between the Power Supply Adapter and the POE Receiver is 100 meters.

NOTE: The WLE-POE-S Power Supply Adapter uses the IEEE802. 3af standard and injects 48V over the CAT5 cable. The WLE-POE-S Power Supply Adapter can be used with IEEE802. 3af POE Receiver Adapters. However, it is recommended to always use the WLE-POE-R33 or WLE-POE-R7 POE Receiver Adapters in conjunction with Buffalo AirStation products.
