Rotate the focusing wheel until the image seems to be in sharp, crisp focus. There is no need to overshoot or hunt for the correct focus. Once the image appears sharp, stop focusing - the image is in the best focus with minimum eyestrain. SIGHTING Your Xtra-Wide® Spotting Scope is equipped with a sighting line above the eyepiece. Simply aim the line at the object and look through the eyepiece and there it is! ZOOM EYEPIECE The Xtra-Wide ® Spotting Scope provides a magnification range of 15 to 45 power. To change magnification, grasp and rotate the eyepiece to the desired magnification. It may be necessary to refocus the spotting scope after changing magnification, especially when going from 15 to 45 power. CAUTION: DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH THIS SPOTTING SCOPE AS SEVERE DAMAGE TO YOUR EYES MAY RESULT!
