CMS Password CMS Hostname Business Objects Planning Installation Guide 51 5 Configuring Business Objects Planning Enabling and configuring access options Field CMS Port Timeout in seconds of CMS requests Description If you are not using the default CMS port, type the appropriate port number. Otherwise, leave the default setting of 6400. This setting defines the amount of time allowed to complete requests to the CMS, such as universe updates. If the request is not completed within the designated time, the request will time out and an error will be noted in the application server log. The default timeout value is 120 seconds. Enabling and configuring access options If you plan to use the web access options, then you must enable and configure the web access options on a per system basis. Adding access options to systems Before you can access a system using a web access option, the desired access option must be added to the system in the Configuration Manager. To add access options to a system: Expand the Systems node to view the available systems. Right-click the desired system and select the desired access option. The selected access option is added as a node underneath the system name. Repeat this process for each access option that you want to add to the system. Keep in mind the following: · The list of access options is not filtered to reflect the actual software installed or your license rights. If you add an access option that was not installed or that your organization has not licensed, an error will result if an end user attempts to launch that access option. 52 Business Objects Planning Installation Guide Configuring Business Objects Planning Enabling and configuring access options 5 · Enterprise Desktop is not listed as an access option. The ability to use Enterprise Desktop is always enabled if the web software was installed. Each access option that is added to a system must be configured on a persystem basis. Web Checkout The primary configuration setting to be defined for Web Checkout is the default installation path.
