The first two are local offices in outlying communities and La Crosse is an SCF. Then we assign the schemes that will produce DDU-discount-eligible mail to the two local offices and the remaining schemes to the SCF.

How multiple entry points affect reports and output files
Separate mailings and reports
Each entry point in your job results in a separate legal mailing, with separate reports. For example, if you have two entry points, Presort would automatically create one set of reports for each one, even though you set up each type of report only once. Normally, when you create output files, Presort outputs all entry points, in the order that they appeared in the job setup. You have four options for controlling this output behavior. These options are explained further in chapter 13. If you would like to output only a selected entry point (or entry points), use the Output Selection feature (see "How to use Output Selection" on page 314). The particular option to look for is Select Entry Points To Output. To output each entry point to a separate output file, use the Split Output feature (see "How to use Split Output" on page 317). The particular option to look for is Create Files per Entry Point. If you output all entry points together, in one file, you might wish to control their sequence. You could use the Mailflow feature (see "Using Mailflow to change sequence within each mailing" on page 308). In the Mailflow window, the particular option to look for is Alternate Entry Point Sequence. If you want to change the mailstream hierarchy from the normal order of entry point, segment, and scheme, to make entry point less dominant, use Alternate Mailstream Hierarchy (see "Alternate mailstream hierarchy" on page 311).

Output fields
You might like to include a field in your output file to identify the entry point. Mailing crews and acceptance clerks might appreciate this. You have three options.
Field Content
AP. Ent_Pt_No

Chapter 7: Mixed-class co-mail
Business Objects is proud to announce its participation in a new USPS pilot to continue to optimize the mail stream. [. . . ] During a USPS audit, you may be required to provide a count of the number of mail pieces that you mail to each 3-digit ZIP Code, and to show that the proper discount was applied to each piece. You can use postage statements to show the counts per zone. These counts can be verified against the zones listed by ZoneShow. With the help of ZoneShow, you can show the USPS that the correct zone was indeed assigned to each mail piece.
