CongratulationsonthepurchaseofthisM1+UniversalRemote Control. TheM1+isadigitaluniversalremotecontrolthatiseasyto useandconfigure, enablingyoutocontrolvirtuallyallyourIRequipped electronicdevices. OnefeatureoftheM1+isthetouchscreencontrolpanel, which reducesthenumberofbuttonsonthedevice, makingiteasyforyouto findthefunctionyouwant.  [. . . ] $ Besuretoreplacethebatteriesiftheyhavebeenusedfor longerthantwoyears;theremightbeadangerofleakage. $ Deviceconfigurationdatawillbeautomaticallysavedwhen batteriesarebeingreplaced.

Thetouchscreenbuttonsenableyoutocontrolyourdevicesasyou wouldwithyourremotecontrol, setupmacros, andconfigureyour LCDpanelthewayyouwant. Simplypressthescreentoactivatea function. NOTE Ifyoudon'thearabeepwhenyoupressthescreen, youmayhave deactivatedthebeep. Pressanydevicebuttontwicetoactivate thebeepfunction. Ifyoustilldon'thearabeep, pressthebuttona littlemorefirmly. Thefollowingillustrationshowsallthefunctionsandtheirrelatedicons availableontheM1+foryourreference. 

ThischapterwilltellyouhowtosetuptheM1+, howto automaticallyconfiguredevices, andhowtousetheadvancedfeatures suchasthemacros. 

Beforeyouusethelearningfunction
Beforeyoustartconfiguringyourremotecontrolsusingthelearning function, pleaseheedthefollowingprecautions: $ Don'tconfiguremorethanoneremotecontrolforeachdeviceon theM1+. Forexample, don'tuseoneTVremotecontrolfor somefunctionsundertheM1+'sTVdevicescreen, andthenuse adifferentTVremotecontrolforotherfunctions. Configurethe M1+'sdevicebuttonusingonly one remotecontrolforallthe buttons. Ifyouaregoingtoc onfigureadifferentremotecontrolforan M1+devicebuttonafteryouhavepreviouslyconfiguredthe devicebuttonforadifferentremotecontrol, firstdeleteallthe commandsforthedevicebutton. Referto Usingthedeletebank function onpage10. Whenusingthelearningfunction, youmustpresseachbutton within120seconds. Otherwise, theM1+willexitlearningmode andreturntonormaloperationmode.

Recalling the original LCDlayout
You can reset the LCD panel buttons to their original factory configuration. TorecalltheoriginalLCDlayout, presstheTVandDVDdevicebuttonsat thesametimeforfiveseconds:
