Push the reservoir right in to make sure of a firm connection with the appliance. You can fill the reservoir during ironing. Caution : Never ask for steam when there is no more water in the reservoir. Never fill the reservoir with hot water. Never add products containing alcohol or essences (perfume, eau de Cologne, lavender essence…) to the water. When you have finished your ironing operation, switch off the appliance and unplug it from mains socket. Let the press cool down for, about 30 minutes, before closing it. ATTENTION : Before carrying and storing vertically your ironing press, it is essential that you empty the water reservoir to avoid any spillages. MAINTENANCE CLEANING : THE FOAM: To keep your press perfectly clean wash the outside parts with a slightly soapy water and carefully wipe it off with a soft cloth. After extensive use, the padding under the pressing cover will be compressed, affecting the quality of your pressing. THE COVER SEMELLE CHAUFFANTE : Make sure that the cover is always tight enough so that it does not make pleats. If it shows signs of wear it must be replaced. HEATING PLATE Substances contained in fabrics such as cleaning product residues and thread particles may eventually stain the iron soleplate. Please make sure that the soleplate is kept clean at all times to maintain the iron’s ironing efficiency. So if necessary, after ironing, rub the plate while it is still warm using a good quality cloth (one which does not leave any traces- of fluff) or clean it more thoroughly with an iron-cleaning stick. Do not use scouring powders, alkalines (as used with ovens), abrasives or steel wool.
