I Printout is not clear or has white streaks
Low ink could cause faded characters and white lines to appear on the printout. Try printing a Nozzle Check Pattern Check the status of the BJ cartridge by printing the Nozzle Check Pattern. Printing a Nozzle Check Pattern Look at the Nozzle Check Pattern to confirm the print quality.

Only specific colors are faded The specific color ink may have run out. Then print a Nozzle Check Pattern to see if the printing quality has been restored. The Nozzle Check Patterns are faded regardless of color The print head may be clogged. Cleaning the Print Head

If print quality is not restored after cleaning Perform print head deep cleaning to flush the nozzles. Print a Nozzle Check Pattern to see if the printing quality has been restored. Repeat deep cleaning if the problem still persists. Cleaning the Print Head If print quality is not restored after deep cleaning The ink may have run out. Replace the BJ tank and print the Nozzle Check Pattern to see if the print quality has been restored. Printing a Nozzle Check Pattern If print quality is not restored after replacing the BJ tank(s) Replace the BJ cartridge. Changing or Replacing a BJ Cartridge The print head may be worn out or the ink may have dried and ruined the nozzles. After replacing the BJ cartridge, print a Nozzle Check Pattern to see if the printing quality has been restored.
Note
If you will not be using the printer for an extended amount of time, leave the BJ cartridge installed inside the printer or remove it and keep it in the Ink Cartridge Storage Box to avoid damage.

Check to see if the orange protective cap or tape has been re-attached to the print head Reattaching the orange cap or tape could cause dust and small particles to enter through the print head, which may cause the ink to clog. Once removed, the orange cap and the tape must not be re-attached to the print head. If you have mistakenly done so, install the BJ cartridge and execute print head cleaning. Use only the Ink Cartridge storage box to store a BJ cartridge when it is not installed in the printer. Make sure that you are printing on the correct side of the paper The paper that you are using to print may have only one correct print side. [. . . ] Print mode The print mode setting determines how the printer operates. Set the print mode according to the type of printing you want to do and the type of media you are using. The default are Standard, Draft, DTP, Photo, and SuperPhoto. printer driver Software that sends printing instructions to a printer. [. . . ]
