Setting the Date and Time

DATE DISPLAY. . . OFF
Choose whether to add the date and time to your recordings by selecting DATE DISPLAY and choosing one of the 3 options shown below. You can also select the display color from among 7 colors by selecting DATE/TITLE CLR on the Camera menu. After you have selected a display color, do not remove the battery pack before actual recording. Your selected color will return to white when you remove (change) the battery pack (except when you are using the power adapter) or remove/connect the power adapter. AUTO10S:
Advanced Functions
Adds the date and time to your recordings for the first 10 seconds of each scene you record. · The date/time display flashes in Record Pause mode. The date and time will not be added to your recordings at any time. The date and time are recorded continuously.
OFF: CONT. :
If you set the date display to AUTO10S or CONT. but have not yet set the date and time, : will appear in the display during Record Pause mode. · If you change the date/title color, the date and title will be displayed and recorded in the selected color.

Setting the date and time
Set the date and time display when you first start using your camera. As long as you have inserted the backup battery (p. 58), the camera's internal clock will continue to work even when the main power source is removed.

The tape counter indicates the approximate running time of the tape -- 1 hour, 23 minutes and 45 seconds in this example. The tape counter is reset when a cassette is loaded, or when you press the C. RESET button (p. 8).
