Electrical contacts

Insert the black ink tank (BCI-24 Black) k into the slot on the right. Press down until the ink tank locks into place

Connect one end of a USB cable (not included) to the computer,  the other to the printer.

Raise the gray lock lever on the printer.

Repeat the procedure for the color ink tank (BCI-24 Color),  inserting it into the remaining slot.  [. . . ] Close the front cover. 

NOTE: The serial number is located to the to register the product. 

Slide the print head into the holder until it is securely seated.

Pull out the paper rest and the output tray (i350 only).

Lower the lever until it locks into place. 

Continue with Step 6 on side two.

g 7 Align the Print Head

Turn the computer on and LEAVE THE PRINTER OFF. 
NOTE: For Windows® XP or Windows 2000,  log on to Windows as an Administrator before continuing. 

When Terminate Installation window appears,  click OK. 

Turn on your Mac and your printer and insert the "Setup Software & User's Guide" CD-ROM. 

Click Install. When a message asking for your confirmation to proceed with the installation,  click Continue Installation. 

Place a sheet of blank paper in the paper rest. Start,  select Control Panel,  Printers and Other Hardware,  then Printers and Faxes. Right-click the Canon i350 or i250 icon,  then click . 

NOTE: Remember to register your

product. The serial number is located on the inside of the printer,  to the right of the print head. 

Double-click the CD-ROM icon,  then the Mac OS X folder,  then the Printer Driver folder. 

When the software menu appears,  click Install. When the message "The software was " appears,  click Restart. Double-click the i350 190. pkg or i250 190. pkg icon. IMPORTANT: To ensure highest g Step 7 Align the Print Head. Head. 

Select a destination for the printer driver to be installed. When the Printer Port window appears,  TURN THE PRINTER ON. The software will begin identifying the printer port being used. 

Under the Printers menu,  select Configure Printer. Select i350 or i250,  and click Select. 

b. Click the down-arrow to select Test Print. Click OK (Windows) or Send (Macintosh) when finished.
