Read This First
Test Shots and Disclaimer
Take some initial test shots and play them back to make sure the images were recorded correctly. [. . . ] AE stands for "Auto Exposure".
Choose !Lock the exposure.
Point the camera toward the subject and press the o button while pressing the shutter button halfway. When & appears, the exposure will be locked. If you release your finger from the shutter button and press the o button again, & will disappear and AE will unlock.

Shooting with the FE Lock
Just as with the AE lock, you can lock the exposure for shooting with the flash. FE stands for "Flash Exposure".
Choose h (p. Lock the flash exposure.

Shooting with Slow Synchro
You can make the main subject, such as people, appear bright by having the camera provide the appropriate illumination with the flash. At the same time, you can use a slow shutter speed to brighten the background that the light from the flash cannot reach.

You can automatically correct red-eye that occurs in images taken with the flash.

Searching Images Using Index Display
Displaying multiple images at the same time lets you quickly find the image you want.
Press the g zoom button.
Images will display in an index. The number of images increase each time you press the g zoom button. The number of images decrease each time you press the k zoom button.
