Foosball Troubleshooting Suggestions
Tight Rod - Rod not turning freely inside the bearing 1. Make certain that the rods are cleaned prior to assembly. The Chrome plating process leaves a sticky residue, which is left in place by the manufacturer of the rod to protect it during shipping. This residue is easily removed using WD-40 or other available solvent. [. . . ] This is done by removing the Dome and Play Field and then removing the three screws used to assemble the guide strip and repositioning it. Goalie loose and will not turn when Goalie Knob is used This is caused when one of the players attempts to force the Goalie beyond the built in stop bracket. If goalie does not move when control knob is rotated, tighten the screw at the end of the goalie shaft. Removing the play field and tightening the screw at the end of the Goalie Shaft accomplish this. If desired, the customer may add a drop of Epoxy or Crazy Glue to the screw prior to tightening it. Broken players The remedy is to request a new player. If the breakage is consistent, please add two rubber bumpers, and a handle to be added to the two that are already in place. To add the bumpers the following procedure should be used. Remove the Dome and carefully place it next to the game, being careful not to scratch it. Remove all players from the playing field by firmly pulling on each player. Remove the white Game deflector located on each end of the game by removing the four screws used to assemble them to the game. Carefully lift the playing surface from the game. Remove the Center Stop with a 7/16" wrench. Slide the affected Rod off the guide rail and add the two bumpers. Re-assembly of the game is the reverse of the above procedure. To Replace Complete Set of Rods on a Super Stick Hockey 1. Remove the Dome and carefully place it next to the game, being careful not to scratch it. Remove all players from the playing field by firmly pulling on each player. 3. Remove the white Game deflector located on each end of the game by removing the four screws used to assemble them to the game. Carefully lift the playing surface from the game. Remove the Center Stop with a 7/16" wrench. Remove the Handles by pulling them off the rod. [. . . ] Cleaning the Play Field The controller can leave streaks or marks on the play field. This is normal and does not impair the playability of the game. The graphics are embedded into the play field and will not readily wear off. If the field becomes dirty, turn on the Blower Motor and wipe it with a general purpose cleaner. [. . . ]
