Press MEM twice. To return to the conversation between the base and the outside line, press TALK on the handset. 2 Press MEM again. The base unit must be connected to the electrical wall outlet with the AC adapter. The phone must be in the standby mode to store an autodial number. 2 3 Press MEM on the handset. NOTE: s If you do not press a key within 20 seconds, the CP-1260 will exit the programming mode. USING AUTODIAL FROM THE BASE 1 Use the handset keypad to enter the number (0-9) corresponding to the autodial location you wish to call. For example, if the number of the person you are calling is stored in autodial 6, press 6. The CP-1260 will automatically dial out. To hang up, press TALK or return the handset to the base. DEDICATED ONE TOUCH AUTODIAL BUTTONS Your phone is equipped with three instant dialing buttons (M1-M3) on the handset. You cannot store phone numbers directly into M1 to M3. These are only used to dial phone numbers stored in handset memory locations 1-3. Use the base keypad to enter the number (0-9) corresponding to the autodial location you wish to call. For example, if you know that the number of the person you are calling is stored in autodial 6, press 6. The CP-1260 will automatically dial out using the speakerphone. This will work when you have the TONE/PULSE SWITCH on the base CP-1260 set to PULSE. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FLASH/CALL WAITING If you subscribe to a call waiting service and you receive another call while using the phone or speakerphone, press FLASH on the handset or base to answer the second call.
