[. . . ] This setting is possible only when RGB is selected as the input source and digital zoom is not being used. "Image Adjustment" main menu item settings are saved for the current signal type only (XGA/60Hz, SXGA/60Hz, etc. ), and not for the input signal source. Note, however, that the number of signal type settings that can be saved is limited. Exceeding the limit causes the oldest setting to be deleted automatically. ISignal Settings Horizontal Position This sub-menu lets you adjust the horizontal position of the input source image within the projection area. This setting is possible only when RGB is selected as the input source and digital zoom is not being used. See "Signal Settings Vertical Position" for details about how settings are saved. ISignal Settings Frequency This sub-menu lets you manually control the frequency of the image. Normally, the projector is able to adjust the frequency automatically. If there are vertical bands in the projected image, however, it means that automatic adjustment is not possible for some reason. When this happens use this setting to adjust the image frequency. This setting is possible only when RGB is selected as the input source and digital zoom is not being used. Settings are saved for each signal type (XGA/60Hz, SXGA/60Hz, etc. ). Note, however, that the number of signal type settings that can be saved is limited. Exceeding the limit causes the oldest setting to be deleted automatically. If, for some reason, your manual frequency settings cause the image input from the computer to disappear from the projection, you can press the [AUTO] key to perform an auto adjust operation (page 7), which should cause the image to reappear. ISignal Settings Phase This sub-menu lets you manually control the phase of the image. Normally, the projector is able to adjust the phase automatically. If there are color errors or flickering in the projected image, however, it means that automatic adjustment is not possible for some reason. When this happens use this setting to adjust the image phase. This setting is possible only when RGB is selected as the input source and digital zoom is not being used. See "Signal Settings Frequency" for details about how settings are saved. 30 Using the Setup Menu ISignal Settings Noise Filter This sub-menu provides a choice of noise filter levels to remove digital noise from the projected image when RGB is selected as the input source. Note that the noise filter may not be able to remove certain types of digital noise. This setting is possible only when RGB is selected as the input source and digital zoom is not being used. The setting is saved for the RGB input source only. Turning off the projector automatically returns this sub-menu to its initial default setting (Normal). Input Source Specific Menu Items Input Source RGB Component S-VIDEO VIDEO No Signal Available Items (Parentheses indicate defaults. ) Low, (Normal), High None ISignal Settings Restore Menu Defaults This sub-menu returns all of the sub-menu items on the Signal Settings main menu to their initial default settings, except for the phase setting. Cause and Recommended Action Using the [AUTO] key to perform automatic adjustment in the case of RGB input can cause the aspect ratio of the screen to change, and the projected image to become larger. Whether this happens depends on the slideshow, movie, or other scene being projected. To return to the image to its original state, turn off "Detailed Settings Advanced Settings 1 Auto Adjust", and then press the [RGB/ COMPONENT] key. [. . . ]
