Protective, electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles. Wear a full face shield if you are producing metal filings or wood chips. Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not reach over or across running machines. 8. 9. 10. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. 9. Remove the worn brake pads and hardware. Select the correct drive adapter Caliper (1-9) to fit the piston (face) holes. Place the Plate (10) over the Thrust Bolt Assembly (11) center bolt. Turn the Thrust Bolt clockwise to compensate for the distance between the piston and the Caliper body. Align the Caliper pins into the piston (face) holes. Using a wrench, turn the Thrust Bolt clockwise until the Caliper Plate is secure and the tool is fixed in place. 10. Turn the Thrust Bolt T-Handle clockwise to force the piston back into its housing. Install the new brake pads and bolt the Caliper back onto the carrier. Maintenance 1. Remove all oil and grime from Caliper components with a clean cloth. Always replace Caliper components in the carrying case and store in a clean and dry location.
