The vehicle that is being loaded into must be turned off and in gear or park, with the emergency brake engaged and the wheels blocked. each individual Ramp must have a safety chain (not included) correctly installed and connected (see #6 below). Make sure each Ramp is clean and dry before loading. Wear a safety helmet, AnSI-approved safety goggles, heavy-duty work gloves, and steeltoed work boots at all times during loading and unloading. The tailgate the ramps will sit on and both of the ramps must be dry and clean. Check for and tighten any loose hardware Sit the tongue (angled lip) of the Ramp on the tailgate. The Tongue Edge must face down (see Assembly) fully contacting the tailgate of the truck. Extend the Safety Chain (not included) on each Ramp up into the inside of the truck bed; attach each Safety Chain to a secure attachment point on the truck chassis. The entire tongue portion of the ramps must fit onto the tailgate; If not, adjust the Safety Chains accordingly or shorter chains must be used. Chain Adjustment: Remove the bolt and washer that hold the safety chain to the ramp. Reinsert the bolt through a link that will shorten the chain so the loading ramp can not be pulled backwards by the ATV's rear tire.
