Pay careful attention to the following "Special Safety Instructions". [. . . ] Wait until this has completely dried and then polish your shoes thoroughly with one of the two outer brushes (6/8). Note: Do not mix up the brush which is used for coloured polish with the colourless brush, as otherwise the result will be far less satisfactory. When you have finished polishing your shoes, press the ON/OFF switch to turn the machine off. Through the viewing window of the container flap (4) you can see whether the container needs to be filled or if there is still enough polish in it. If the shoe polish comes out very slowly, new polish can be filled in. Press in the device fitted to the left side of the container flap and then fold it open. Remove the empty container and release the turn-lock fastener by unscrewing it in an anticlockwise direction. Press the valve on Illustration 1 the bottom of the container in order to prevent the Valve polish leaking out when the container is being filled. Now fill the shoe polish into the empty container. After filling up the container, tighten the turn-lock container fastener again (illustration 1). The valve is opened again to ensure that during use the polish is deliSpring Turn-lock vered more evenly. Now insert the filled container fastener back into the machine and close the container lid. Please ensure that when the lid is closed its locks into place correctly in the housing. Each time the machine is cleaned or serviced make sure the mains plug has been removed from the socket beforehand. The dust and dirt on the rubber mat can be easily removed with a vacuum cleaner, or simply take the mat and hold it under running water. Allow the mat to dry fully before replacing it in the machine in order to avoid damage to the machine. The metal housing (1) can be cleaned when necessary with a slightly damp cloth - without additives. Release the screw(s) (10) by turning in an anticlockwise direction with a screwdriver, and then pull the brush(es) down. When replacing the brush(es) please ensure that they are positioned correctly on the drive shaft. Before the cleaning brush is replaced both outer brushes have to be removed first.
