Reboot a unit Performinganormalrebootoftheunitforcesittogothroughtheinitial start-upsequence, registeringonacellular(GSM)networkandobtainingan updatedGPSposition. Itcansolvevariousproblemsthatmightoccurwith yourC-pod. Rebooting a unit only makes sense if the unit already is running, i. e. the activation button is flashing (in any way). Whileonboard, performthefollowingsteps: · ressandholdtheactivationbuttonfor>30seconds(31secondstobe P sure), thenreleasethebutton. · Thestart-upsequenceconsistsofmainlytwosteps: TheC-podsearchesforandconnectstothestrongestcellular (GSM)networkavailable. Whilesearchingandconnecting, the activationbuttonflashesonce every second. TheC-podisobtainingaGPSposition. Whilethisisdone, theactivationbuttonflashesonce every 3 seconds. · ncetheC-podisregisteredonthecellular(GSM)networkandhas O obtainedaGPSposition, itisinthenormaloperationmodeandthe buttonflashesonceevery30seconds.
In case the first steptakesaverylongtime(>5minutes), orneverseemstofinish, theC-podhasdifficultiesfindingagoodcellular(GSM)network. Referto theTroubleshootingGuide, sectionCommunication related problems. In case the second step takesaverylongtime(>10minutes), orneverseems tofinish, theC-podhasdifficultiesfindingagoodGPSposition. Power-cycle a unit Powercyclingcanhelpaunittostartupifhasbeenwithoutpowerfora longertime, e. g. afterwinterstorage. Power cycling a unit only makes sense if the unit is not running, i. e. the activation button is not flashing at all. Whileonboard, performthefollowingsteps: · onnecttheC-podunittothepowersupplyandlettheinternalbattery C chargefor1530minutes. · ressandholdtheactivationbuttonfor1520seconds, thenrelease P thebuttontoclearthememory. R heC-podstartsup;seeReboot a unitaboveforthedescriptionofthe T start-upsequence. Discharging the internal battery Ifthepowercycleattemptremainsunsuccessful, disconnecttheunitfromthe powersupplyforthreedays(~72hours). Reconnectthepowerandtheunit startsup. Ifthisfails, contactyourretailerortheC-podTechnicalSupportfor assistance. Winter storage/Shut down unit Ifyouwishtoturnofftheunitduringwinterstorage, firstputthesystemin Passivemodeonthewebportal. GotoSettings System modeandselectPassive mode. Thendisconnectthepowersupply. Theinternalbatterydischarges andtheC-podturnsoff. Whenyouwishtousethesystemagain, reconnectthepowerandcheckthat thesystemstartsupbyobservingtheflashingoftheactivationbutton. Inrare casesapowercycleisneeded;refertotheReferencemanual, sectionPowercyclingaunit.
