Power S Press to turn the unit on. S Press to cycle through four pre-set brightness levels when unit is on. Volume Up S Press to increase sound volume one pre-set increment. Menu Choices
Stores and organizes locations for later use. The Personal folder is permanent; all other folders can be added or deleted by the user. Locations can exist in more than one folder, but the exact same entry cannot exist more than once in any given folder.

Allows creation and naming of folders within the Address Book.
Allows setting a location as the designated home point as the last step of entering it in the Address Book.
Allows selection of a symbol to represent a location on the Map. See NOTE at right.
Is the means of adding a location to an Address Book folder. From the display of the selected folder, the Add Entry mode allows choices from a specified location, the unit's current location, the list of interest points or an Address Book entry.
If "Proximity Alert" icon is chosen, the NAV ONE will notify you if you are close to the selected Address Book location.
Allows destination selection from a list of public places. Within the twelve general categories of places, there are about seven million listings of points to which one might want to go.
Returns to the Menu.
Allows researching establishments in any place other than the unit's current location.
Allows entry of an establishment name. For establishments with multiple locations, such as a restaurant chain, the system returns a list of up to 50 locations within a 50 mile radius of the current or changed location. If the desired item is not found, use Change Location to search another area.
Provides immediate routing from any location to the place that has been designated as home.
Returns to the Menu.
Displays the Map and starts navigation.
Provides the user with the ability to customize system and map preferences, set the time zone and view information about the software and database.

Brings up the list where general preference selections can be made.
Provides the current versions of system software and database.
Allows entry of the local time zone.
Brings up a list of available settings and explanations of available options.
Updates the system to changes made in the settings.
Tracks vehicle movements -- either on or off the road. The route actually taken can be saved to retrace the route or repeat it in the future.

Menu Choices
Shows a segment of the entire map as if through a window that can be moved to display any desired portion. The window can be zoomed in or out to reveal greater detail or a larger area. The system defaults to the map segment associated with the current activity. When the system is in navigation to a destination, the route is highlighted on the map and maneuver details are presented as they occur.

If the vehicle departs from the navigation route, the system will automatically recalculate and show the new route to the selected destination. When not in navigation, the map shows the area around the vehicle and the system displays the name of the street on which the vehicle is traveling as well as the names of major intersecting roads as they are approached.

Interacting with the Map : Traffic Data
INTERACTING WITH THE MAP When the Map is displayed, the touch-screen feature of the NAV ONE makes it easy to work with. Touching the screen anywhere on the Map shows a list of locations at that spot and opens Pan mode to move around the map.

The panning feature is activated whenever the screen is touched. Touch any arrow and the window will move one half a window in that direction. Press and hold an arrow and the window will scroll in that direction.
Touch a location to select it. Touching a location on the map will show a list of locations at that spot and bring up the Multiple Locations button at the top of the display for further options. Use the Back button if none of the destinations is desired.
NOTE
Press the Return button at any time to exit Pan mode.
TRAFFIC DATA When Traffic overlay is turned on (using Map S More S On/Off), the NAV ONE 4500 will indicate traffic conditions and incidents on the Map by colored segments and icons along the route.
