Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] - wall boxes for ventilation into the open air or into an air shaft - adapters for rectangular ducts - rectangular ducts or plastic tubes - one way flap All materials must be heat resistant up to 80 °C and humidity resistant. Installation options - Run the exhaust air duct in such a way that the dryer cannot draw in again the moist warm air which has been blown out. - Create or arrange the exhaust exit vent in such a way that there will not be any additional counterpressure for the escaping exhaust air (e. g. from a direct incursion of wind) by using e. g. [. . . ] - Make sure there is good room ventilation -> risk of damage caused by moisture, e. g. - Do not obstruct the exhaust air vent (free space around exhaust air vent of approx. via a wall box into the open air: Example: Tube connection - inside diameter = 100 mm, smooth A = straight section (1. 0 m) 4 B = curved pipe (R = 200 mm) 4 C = straight section (1. 5 m) 6 D = tube angle 19 E = telescope wall box with grille 14 Total pressure loss 47 2. Left hand side panel connection Pressure drops The length and type of exhaust air duct used can impede air flow, especially angle joints or elbows with a small radius. -> Diameter reductions and pressure drops (resistances) should be kept to a minimum. The following should be avoided: - long exhaust air ducts - exhaust air ducts with a small cross section - exhaust air ducts with a high number of elbows and angle joints. 1. Remove the cover from the side panel. 2. directly into the open air: Conduct the exhaust air via an exhaust air tube through an open window directly into the open air. Example: Tube connection inside diameter = 100 mm, flexible tube, corrugated A = curved pipe (R = 300 mm) 7 B = straight section (1. 5 m) 18 C = curved pipe (R = 100 mm) 10 D = straight section (0. 5 m) 6 Total pressure loss 41 2. Remove the bayonet ring from the rear panel and attach it to the side panel vent. 3. Close off the rear panel vent with the cover. Pressure drops due to friction Air flow is influenced by frictional resistances in the duct and/or tube, i. e. by friction on the inside of the exhaust air duct, and can be affected in the following ways: - the smoother the internal wall - the larger the diameter of the internal wall - the shorter the tube the lower the frictional resistance. Pressures drops due to fittings Exhaust air is subject to additional resistance from fittings, e. g. from by pass adapters (elbows, bends, angle joints), wall boxes fitted with a grille or a one way flap. 3. via a wall box into a chimney or ventilation shaft - It is not permissible to connect the exhaust air duct to chimneys which are connected to gas ovens, coal fired ovens or cookers, or to gas fired room heating. - If a connection is made to a ventilation shaft which has been insulated against moisture, the chimney sweeper responsible for maintenance must be advised and/or approval must be sought from the local building regulations authority (building inspection authority) or from the house owner. - If additional appliances such as gas heaters, gas fired continuous flow heaters, coal fired ovens with chimney venting or open fireplaces are operated in the room where the dryer is installed or in neighbouring rooms, negative pressure may be created with the result that waste gases are drawn back in again -> risk of poisoning - Confirmation should be sought in any case from the relevant chimney sweeper that operation of the dryer presents no danger. Installation with tube connection inside diameter = 100 mm To ensure the minimum air flow requirement, a specific pressure drop (resistance) must not be exceeded. [. . . ] elevated pressure drops (increased consumption of time and energy) the exhaust air ducts of individual dryers (DT = R >= 100 mm) should be enlarged to the same size as the collective tube, upstream from the one way valves. from a rush of wind) can be lessened by an elbow pointing downwards at 90°. - angle 19 22 24 > 50 17 Telescope wall box with grille Wall box with one way flap 14 6 28 13 7 3 Installation instructions Total pressure drop values Total pressure loss 0 50 0 80 0 124 0 186 Tube connection inside diameter Diameter in mm 100 110 120 130 Do not install the exhaust air duct until you have read these instructions.
