[. . . ] Frame a space for the BB-17L and required air gaps as shown in the illustration below. NOTE: The BB-17L can be framed to the right of a stud as shown in the illustration below or to the left. The BB-17L must be mounted to both studs. Position the back box against the stud so that the extended edge of the back box covers the front edge of the stud. Be sure that the side of the back box is also against the side of the stud. Use the level and verify that the back box is horizontal. Leveling must be done before proceeding. Attach the back box to the left and right studs with standard drywall screws or nails (not included). Feed cables through knockout holes. 3. 5. NOTE: This assembly should use Class 2 wiring only. BB-17L Screw #08-8B x 1/4" Pan (2007213) Drywall Screws (Not Included) NOTE: The BB-17L Requires a 24" (610 mm) Air Gap Above and Below the Box When Mounting. NOTE: Drywall Cutout Should Be Made Around the Inside of the Back Box Opening. Be Sure to Leave the Eight Tapped Holes on the Front of the Box Exposed to Accept the Mounting Screws. NOTE: Cut the drywall along the inside edge of the front of the back box. The labels on the front of the back box indicate the perimeter of the opening that should be cutout. Refer to the first NOTE in the illustration on page 6. NOTE: The eight tapped holes on the front of the back box must be exposed to accept the touchpanel mounting screws. These holes are found beneath the drywall along the top and bottom edge of the mounting plate and made by cutting out the drywall. Refer to the NOTE in the illustration above. Installation Guide ­ DOC. 6367B Pre-Construction Wall Mount Back Box: BB-17L · 7 Pre-Construction Wall Mount Back Box Touchpanel Installation Crestron BB-17L Complete the installation by either installing the touchpanel, leaving the hole open (if permitted by local building codes) or installing the optional cover plate with the included #06-32 x 1 1/2" screws. If the touchpanel is to be installed, refer to the latest revision of the TPS-12L/15L/17L Operations Guide (Doc. 6355) or the TPS-12L/15L/17G-QM-L Operations Guide (Doc.
