Operation
Providing a closure from ground (G input pin) to any of the input pins 1-8 provides an input to the Cresnet system. These inputs can be programmed to control the CNPCI-8 relays and/or other control system functions. A SIMPL signal, which is driven by a local input, remains high for as long as the closure to ground exists on the corresponding input pin. When the signal driving a relay goes high, the corresponding relay activates. [. . . ] Illumination indicates that the SIMPL Windows program currently loaded has a network device defined at the same Net ID as the CNPCI-8.
Operations Guide DOC. 8028C 03. 04 Specifications subject to change without notice.
Identity Code
All equipment and user interfaces within Cresnet require a unique identity code (Net ID). These codes are two-digit hexadecimal numbers from 03 to FE. The Net ID of each unit must match an ID code specified in the SIMPL Windows program. To set the Net ID, locate two miniature rotary switches, identified as H and L. These 16-position hexadecimal switches can be set to 0 through F. Using a small screwdriver, rotate the arrow in the center of the switch marked H to point to the first (or most-significant) digit of the specified Net ID. Set the switch marked L to the second (least-significant) digit of the specified Net ID.
