[. . . ] MICROWA OVEN VE KOG-63GP OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before operating this oven, please read these instructions completely. PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY (a) Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks. (b) Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces. (c) WARNING : If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person : (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches(broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces. [. . . ] If the oven door is opened during the oven operation, all information is retained. 8 When every cooking (include TIMER function) ends, oven sounds 5 beeps. The oven will continue to beep 5 times in every 1 minute until any keypads are pressed or the door is opened. WATTAGE OUTPUT CHART · The power-level is set by pressing the MICRO POWER button. The chart shows the display, the power level and the wattage of power. Press MICRO POWER button Power level (Display indicator) Approximate Wattage of Power once twice 3 times 4 times HI LOW WARM DEF 800 470 140 Tapered 7 CONTROLS SETTING THE CLOCK When the oven is first plugged in, the display will show " 88:88 ". If the AC power ever turns off, the display shows " 88:88 " when the power comes back on. When you press any number pad, numbers will start blinking. Enter time of day by pressing appropriate number pad. NOTE: 1. To reset time of day, repeat step 1 through to step 3. The clock will keep the time of day as long as the oven is plugged in and electricity is supplied. 3. Numbers stop blinking. MICROWAVE COOKING AND TIME DEFROSTING The glass turntable must always be in position when using the oven. Press once twice 3 times 4 times Micro Power Level 800 W HIGH 470 W LOW 140 W WARM Tapered DEFROST MAX 2. . Press number pads to set cooking time. The display will show what you pressed. Your oven can be programed for 59:90 in Low, Warm and Defrost level. But in HIGH level, the oven can be programed for 29:90. 3. Press Start pad. When you press START pad, the selected indicator comes on to show the oven is in the cooking mode. The display counts down the time to show you how much cooking time is left. When the cooking ends, you will hear 5 beeps. CAUTION: The oven will automatically work on HIGH microwave power if a cooking time is entered without the power level preciously being selected. 8 MULTI-STAGE COOKING The oven has 3 stage memory, so you can program up to 3 different instructions and the oven will switch automatically from power to power except timer function (Repeat steps 1 and 2 above but only press Start after all stages have been entered). NOTE: Auto Weight/Defrost key can be in 1st stage only. Timer key can't be programmed in MULTI-STAGE COOKING. TIMER This feature operates as a minute timer without microwave energy. The timer indicator lights and " :0" is displayed. 2. Press number pads. Enter the time you want to count down. 3. Press Start pad. The timer indicator comes on and the display counts down the timer remaining in TIMER mode. [. . . ] It is particularly important that the oven closes properly and that there is no damage to the: i) Door(bent) ii) Hinges and Hookes(broken or loosened) iii) Door seals and sealing surfaces. The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except a properly competent service technician. The oven should be cleaned regularly and any food deposits removed; 6. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation. 14 BEFORE YOU CALL FOR SERVICE Refer to the following checklist, you may prevent an unnecessary service call.
