To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). Refer servicing to qualified service personnel. [. . . ] Press to increase or decrease the slow-motion speed. SPEED Selects a recording speed (SP or EP). (Stop) Stops the current VCR function such as record, playback, rewind, or fast forward. TV/VCR Switches the picture signal so that it either comes from the VCR or cable/antenna system.
TV Function Buttons
CH/TRK Selects next higher or lower channel in the TV's channel memory. CLEAR Removes menus or status displays from the screen. ENTER Used in conjunction with compatible TV menus DISPLAY Shows the TV's status displays on the TV screen. INPUT Selects between the TV's input channel or tuner. Press to see the VCR signal if you connected your VCR using the AUDIO/VIDEO jacks. Numbers (0 through 9, 100) Select a channel up to 99 by pressing two numbers. Select a cable channel over 99 by pressing 100, 1 appears on the screen. VOLUME Up and Down Raises and lowers sound of TV.
Using the INPUT Button
Use the INPUT button to toggle through the available Video Line Input sources (L1 or L2) and regular broadcasting signals. Video Line Input allows you to view the image from a connected device (like a camcorder) through the VCR. Press the remote control's VCR button to activate VCR-controlling mode. Press the INPUT button on the remote control to tune to the Video Line Input source. L1 represents the rear A/V jacks and L2 represents the front A/V jacks. Press the INPUT button again to tune back to the broadcast signal you were previously watching through the VCR.

Using the Remote Control Programming the Remote Control
The remote control that came with the VCR can be programmed to control many other brands of TVs.
Note: Not all brands and models shown can be operated by your VCR's remote control.
To program the remote control to operate other components: 1. Point the VCR's remote control at the TV. Press and hold the remote control's TV button. Whikle holding the TV button, enter the first two-digit code listed below for your make and model TV. If the TV turns off, the programming steps are complete. If the TV does not turn off, use the next code listed below for your TV until it does. If none of the codes work for your model TV, it cannot be controlled by your VCR's remote control. [. . . ] 3/4 switch Determines the channel to which the TV must be tuned in order to see the VCR's picture. Not used when connecting the VCR to the TV using A/V cables. RF OUT jack Passes the VCR's signal to a TV using the supplied RF cable.

Other Information Finding the TV's Video Line Input
Note: If the VCR's remote control cannot operate your brand of TV, then you must find the TV's Video Line Input using the TV's remote control or channel up/down buttons.
