Steam ironing · Model with two buttons (R and S): Pressthe (ironon)buttonR and (steamgeneratoron)button S. Thelightsonthecorrespondingbuttonscomeontogether with the light X on the iron. · Models with one ON/OFF button (S): Pressthe buttonS. ThelightonthebuttonandthelightX on the iron come on.

Thesectorcorrespondingtotheselectedsteamflashes. Waituntilitremainsonsteadily(steamready)andlight X goes out. ProceedbypressingthesteambuttonU.
Please note: Whenusedforthefirsttime, theappliancemaygiveoff smokeandanodourforseveralminutes. Thisiscaused byheatingandsubsequentdryingofthesealersusedin assemblingthesteamgeneratorandiron. Youarerecommendedtoventilatetheroom. · LightXgoesonandoffduringironingaccordingtothe temperatureofthesteamgenerator. Itispartofnormal operation and not a cause for concern. · While ironing, it is normal to hear the water fill pump come on and go off. Thisiscausedbytransferof water from the tank to the steam generator. The corresponding light comes on.
Topping up the tank with water Whenthewaterrunsout, the light comes on. The steam indicator Pgoesofftoindicatethattheappliancecannolonger
produce steam. Whenthislightcomeson, proceedasdescribedinthesection "Filling the tank" and confirm filling by pressing the RESET button. Dry ironing · Todryiron, turntheapplianceonbypressingthe buttonR(certainmodelsonly). Inmodelswithasinglebutton, pressthe button S anddonotpressthesteambutton. · Turnthethermostatdialtoselectthemostsuitabletemperatureforthegarmentsbeingironedandwaitforthe "ironattemperature"lighttogooff.

Rinsing the steam generator To optimise operation, maintain constant steam production over time and save energy, rinse the steam generator with EN water after every 10 ironing sessions. Proceed as follows: · Makesurethe applianceisturnedoff, unpluggedfrom the mains and completely cold. · RemovethecapGonthesideoftheappliance(fig. 13). · Useacoinorscrewdrivertounscrewthesteamgenerator cap. · Resttheapplianceonitsside(fig. 14)andfillwithamaximumof0. 7litresofwaterusingafunneltoavoidthe water spilling outside the steam generator. [. . . ] · PlacetheleverF in the positionandremovethe limescalefilter(fig. 10). · PlacetheresinfilterinthefilterholderK(fig. 11). (You arerecommendedtodothisoverthekitchensink). · Dissolvethecontentsofthesachetofcitricacidsupplied (L) in a 1 litre jug of tap water. · Pourtheresultingsolutionintothetankandallowallthe contentstopassthroughthefilter(about20minutes), thenwaitforaminimumof40minutestoregeneratethe limescale filter.
