We hope you enjoy using your new appliance. Take a few minutes to read these instructions. This will avoid all risks and damage to the machine. [. . . ] For more rapid coffee delivery (not in drops), turn one click towards "7" (coarser ground coffee). Selecting the quantity of coffee in the cup To select the quantity of coffee, turn the selection knob until the light corresponding to the required quantity of coffee comes on: NORMAL 60ml ESPRESSO 40ml MY COFFEE 30ml LONG 90ml EXTRA LONG 120ml These adjustments will only be evident after at least 2 cups of coffee have been delivered. NB!The grinding coarseness regulator must only be turned when the coffee mill is in operation. Preparing coffee using coffee beans Important!Do not use caramelised or candied coffee beans as they could stick to the coffee mill and make it unusable. Fill the container (A3) with coffee beans (fig. Place under the coffee spouts: - 1 cup, if you want to make 1 coffee (fig. Lower the spouts as near as possible to the cup. Press the corresponding coffee button (1 cup or 2 cups , figs. Once the coffee has been made, the appliance is ready to use again. Customising the "MY COFFEE" quantity The appliance is factory preset to automatically deliver 30ml. Place a cup under the coffee spouts ( fig. Turn the selection knob (B6) until the light comes on. Press the 1 cup button for at least 8 seconds (fig. The light starts flashing and the machine delivers the coffee. As soon as the coffee in the cup reaches the required level, press the 1 cup button again. The quantity set has now been programmed. 31 · · · NB!While the machine is making coffee, delivery can be interrupted at any moment by pressing one of the coffee buttons ( or ). As soon as delivery is finished, to increase the quantity of coffee in the cup, just hold down one of the coffee buttons ( or ) until the required amount is reached (this must be done within three seconds after completion of delivery). If the coffee is delivered in drops, too fast and not creamy enough or too cold, read the tips in the "Troubleshooting" section on page 40. FROTHING THE MILK FOR CAPPUCCINO (AND HEATING LIQUIDS) The steam can be used to froth milk and heat liquids. NB!To make cappuccino, prepare the coffee in a large cup then add the frothed milk. Danger of burns When you use the steam function, steam comes out of the cappuccino maker. Turn the cappuccino maker outwards and place a container underneath (fig. The light comes on. Making coffee using pre-ground coffee NB! [. . . ] Select a milder taste or reduce the quantity of preground coffee, then deliver the coffee again. Fill bean container GB The ground coffee funnel is clogged. · FLASHES · Too many coffee beans or too much pre-ground coffee has been added. · · The coffee beans have run out. · FLASHES · FLASHES · The infuser has not been replaced after cleaning. · Insert the infuser as described in the section "Cleaning the infuser".
