· Usethisapplianceonlyasdescribedinthis instructionmanual. As with all electrical equipment, whilst the instructionsaimtocoverasmanyeventualitiesaspossible, cautionandcommonsense shouldbeappliedwhenoperatingandinstallingthisappliance. · Thisapplianceisdesignedforhomeairconditioningandmustnotbeusedforotherpurposes. · Itisdangeroustomodifyoralterthecharacteristicsoftheapplianceinanyway. [. . . ] Hold the FAN button on the control panel downfor10seconds. Theapplianceemitsa beepandH1, H2 orH3isdisplayed. Use the + or - buttons to set the hardness levelaccordingtothetablebelow. Waitafew seconds for the setting to be memorised. Theapplianceemitsanotherbeepandgoes backtostand-by. The machine is set by default for medium hardness (H2).

Turn the appliance off and unplug from the mains. Makesurethereisnowaterintheapplianceby emptyingthetankandinternaltrayasdescribed inthesection:"Endofseasonoperations". Laytheapplianceonitsbackasshowninfigure 17. Rest it on a towel or piece of cardboard to avoidscratchesordamage. Removethefiltercoverbyunscrewingthefourscrews(fig. 17). Removethe filterdelicately andloosen thetwo ties, makingsurethetwohosesconnectingthe filterdonotslipinsidetheappliance. Fitthenew filter, following the same procedure in reverse (fig. The pawl on the filter (see figure) indicatesthecorrectdirection. Thepawlmustalwaysbetowardstheinsideoftheapplianceand point"A"mustbefacingupwards.

Water may leak out while replacing the limescale filter. You should therefore perform the operation in a suitable location. Replacethecapcorrectlyandclosethetank, pushingitinasfarasitwillgo. Thetankholehasa meshfiltertopreventtheintroductionofforeign matter. Ifnecessary, thisfiltercanbeunscrewed andremovedforcleaningunderrunningwater. · Thetankdoesnothavetobefulltousethe water function, but the length of time the appliancewilloperateinwatermodewillbe shorter. · Donotfillabovetheleveloftheholetoavoid thewateroverflowing.
