· Usethisapplianceonlyasdescribedinthis instructionmanual. As with all electrical equipment, whilst the instructionsaimtocoverasmanyeventualitiesaspossible, cautionandcommonsense shouldbeappliedwhenoperatingandinstallingthisappliance. · Thisapplianceisdesignedforhomeairconditioningandmustnotbeusedforotherpurposes. · Itisdangeroustomodifyoralterthecharacteristicsoftheapplianceinanyway. [. . . ] After about a minute, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 red squares appear, depending on the hardnessofthewater. Theappliancecanbe set to three different water hardness levels soft(H1), medium(H2)andhard(H3). Determinethehardnessofthewateryouwillbe usingbycomparingtheredsquaresonthe indicatorpaperwiththetablebelow.

Tosetwaterhardness, proceedasfollows: 1. Hold the FAN button on the control panel downfor10seconds. Theapplianceemitsa beepandH1, H2 orH3isdisplayed. Turn the appliance off and unplug from the mains. Makesurethereisnowaterintheapplianceby emptyingthetankandinternaltrayasdescribed inthesection:"Endofseasonoperations". Laytheapplianceonitsbackasshowninfigure 17. Rest it on a towel or piece of cardboard to avoidscratchesordamage. Removethefiltercoverbyunscrewingthefourscrews(fig. 17). Removethefilter delicately and loosen thetwo ties, makingsurethetwohosesconnectingthe filterdonotslipinsidetheappliance. Fitthenew filter, following the same procedure in reverse (fig. Theadditionalelectrostaticfilterislocatedinthe back of the appliance over the silver ion filter. This filter retains the finest dust particles, thus enhancingthefilteringcapacityoftheappliance.
