The desired degree of browning can be achieved with the adjustable thermostat. Choose your desired temperature by turning the adjustable thermostat knob from low to high (or high to low) setting. When the appliance reaches the set temperature, the green ready light will illuminate and 6 beeps will sound to let you know it is time to pour the waffle (pancake) batter into the bottom of the grid (Belgian plate). The appliance will maintain the set temperature during the entire baking process. NOTE: Be sure to close the lid before baking begins. The green ready light will turn off when the baking operation begins. It will light up again along with 3 beeps to let you know the waffle is done.
