Introduction
The Digifusion FVRT200 Digital Video Recorder will completely change the way you watch and record TV, giving you greater choice and control of watching programmes when it suits you. Now you can access all digital TV channels & radio stations available with FREEVIEW, and store hours of your favourite TV onto the product so you'll always have something to watch: Record, store and playback hours of TV programmes onto its built-in hard disk so there's no need for video tapes Record programmes quickly and easily through the MultiGuideTM and watch in digital broadcast quality Set recordings up to 14 days in advance Watch one channel whilst recording another Record two channels at the same time Watch a recorded programme whilst recording two channels Pause and rewind live TV Watch a recording still in progess Record subtitiles for playback Edit and File recordings for easier access These easy to follow instructions explain how to set up the equipment and operate the Digital Video Recorder (DVR). A list of DVR terms and functions are explained on pages 12 13 to help you become familiar with this product and its features.

Introduction
The availability of FREEVIEW digital terrestrial services in your home depends on your local transmitter and the configuration of your existing reception equipment.

If you are in a FREEVIEW coverage area but are unable to receive all available channels for your location, it is recommended you have a site survey by a professional aerial installer to ensure aerial alignment and `line of site' to the transmitter are optimised. [. . . ] The quality of the recording will decrease after the programme has been compressed. The compression process takes approximately 4 hours for each hour of programming when the DVR is in standby mode. Please Note: Any programmes recorded with the `Record Subtitles' function enabled ( see page 33 ) cannot be compressed using the SCT compression function.

Selective Edit Copy Make a copy of a section of an existing recording.
Press Library on the remote control. Highlight a recording using and press . At the point at which you want the copy to start press The `Add a scene or mark' popup will be displayed. Press Yellow to mark the start of the section to be copied. The timeline will be displayed with a marker showing the start position of the copy. Repeat the above to mark the end position of the copy and press Select Yellow to copy the marked programme to a new file. The name of the copied programme will be displayed at the top of the Library list, pre-fixed with the words `Copy Of'. .

Using the DVR
Selective Edit Crop Permanently remove the section of a recorded programme before and after the marked section.
Press Library on the remote control. Highlight a recording using and press . At the point at which you want to start the crop press The `Add a scene or mark' popup will be displayed. Press Yellow to mark the start of the section to be cropped. The timeline will be displayed with a marker showing the start position of the crop. Repeat the above to mark the end position of the crop and press Press Green to crop the programme. The `Main Menu' will be displayed. Highlight the cropped recording using . The recording should now have been changed to show only your cropped section. .
Please note: Cropping a programme will permanently delete the parts of the programme which are before the start marker and after the end marker.

Reorder Recordings
Move recordings to different locations in the Library so your favourite recordings appear first. Press Library on the remote control, then press Blue for `Advanced'. Highlight the recording you wish to re-order by using . Press Yellow on your remote to select the recording and then continue using to move it to the desired location. · Check all connections at rear of unit · Check mains plug is inserted correctly and unit is switched on · Check you have enough free hard disk space available in Library if not, free up space by deleting old recordings · Check you have guide data for the required channel · It is likely the unit is faulty please call the Customer helpline on 08702 405005 · Check there is enough free hard disk space available to carry out compression in Library · Ensure there aren't already two scheduled recordings in the Record list covering the same time. If there are two, a third recording covering the same time cannot be added · It is likely the unit is faulty please call the Customer helpline on 08702 405005

Identifying Faults
Fault
A compressed recording appears to have a slightly `blocky' picture Programmes appear to be later than expected
Suggested Remedy
· This is due to the reduction in quality inherent in the compression process and is normal
· The channel may be in time shift mode, press the `go to live' button (uI) or place unit into standby and back again · This may be due to slight differences in programme transmission and Guide data. [. . . ]
