If you have chosen in your preferences to have slide shows run in a continuous loop, a slide show will run until you stop it by pressing the SPACEBAR or ESC key or clicking the Exit Slider Control button. During the slide show, you can also use controls in the Slider Control box to manually cycle through the records and to pause and exit the slide show. To begin a Slide Show, make a selection of records from the Thumbnails View or Text List View and choose Slide Show from the View menu.

Source File View toolbar options
In the Source File View, you can use the commands in the Zoom and Image toolbars to adjust the display of your image source files.
Note Changes made to Source File View displays do not affect the actual source file. To make permanent changes to a source file, use an image editor such as Adobe Photoshop, then update the ImageAXS record to reflect your changes (see "Updating records" on page 6-11).
Zoom toolbar The Zoom toolbar commands also appear in the View menu when an image is open in Source File View. Zoom In Enlarges your view of the image. Zoom Out Reduces your view of the image. Scroll Image Allows you to change the position of an image by clicking and dragging it in the Source File View. (This command is only available when the image is larger than the window. ) Best Fit This button executes the Best Fit command. Crop Image The Crop Image command allows you to select part of an image in Source File View and copy it to the Clipboard. When you choose this tool, the mouse cursor becomes a crosshair. With your mouse, select the area of the image you want to copy and choose Copy from the Edit menu (CTRL+C).

Selecting records
There are three ways to select groups of records:
1. To select consecutive records, click the first record you want and press the SHIFT key as you click the last record. To select non-consecutive records, press the CTRL key as you click each record. To select several non-consecutive groups of records, combine the two methods described above.

Other selection options: · · To deselect an individual record, press the CTRL key while clicking it. To deselect all records, choose Clear Selection from the Selection menu (ESC). To select all records, choose Select All from the Selection menu (CTRL + A). To reduce the contents of the active window to records in your selection, choose Show Selection from the Selection menu. Choose Show All to then display all records.

Note
In order to reduce the records available in the Info Sheet or Keyword Views and navigate among only the selected records, use the Show Selection command before opening the single record views.

Choose Invert Selection from the Selection menu (CTRL + I) to select all records that are not selected and deselect all records that are selected.

Creating blank records
You may want to create blank records in order to enter data before the corresponding images are available. To create a blank record, choose New Record from the Record menu (CTRL + N). When you are ready to acquire a source file for the blank record, use the Update Path command.

Copying and pasting records
Instead of having to enter the same data time after time, you can use the Copy Record and Paste Record commands located in the Edit menu. [. . . ] The fields included in your report appear (left to right) in the order they are listed in the Report list. Add Click the Add button to add a field selected in the Fields list to the Report list. Remove Click the Remove button to remove a selected field from the Report list.
