Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. Do not use without dirt container and filters in place. [. . . ] Remove dirt container from back panel by pressing dirt container release button. To secure, insert two (2) screws into the front of the back panel. Push handle plug onto the front of cleaner. Insert one (1) screw into the back of the handle and tighten, making sure the handle plug is secure. Push hose wand down into the right side of cleaner (Diagram 1a). FRONT BACK Attach Tools: Slide the dust brush (A) into hole/ring on the tool caddy with bristles facing out (Diagram 2). Slide the extension wand (B) / crevice tool (C) (stored inside of extension wand) through the ring on the front right side of tool caddy. Clip Power Brush Tool (D) onto the front of the Power Brush Tool caddy (Diagram 2a). Turn cleaner on by depressing foot pedal located on the back left side of the cleaner. Turn Quick Cord Release for easy cord removal. store cord in cord guide (see Features - pg. 5) to keep out of the way while vacuuming. To release handle, push the handle release pedal located on the lower left side of the cleaner. Set aligning tab on bottom of dirt container into rectangular slot on cleaner (Diagram 3), and push to snap into place (Diagram 3a). Turn the height adjustment knob to match the surface being cleaned. Move the handle and adjust it to the desired a position for (a) operating the cleaner, and (b) b lowering handle to clean under furniture. NOTE: Rotating brush could cause area rug fringe to become tangled within cleaner. Use caution when vacuuming throw rugs with fringe. CAUTION: Brush agitator continues to rotate while hose is removed or in use and at all times while cleaner is on.
