 [. . . ] Your computer will recognize the Frame as an external hard drive. The Frame also acts as an memory Card reader.  [. . . ] Choose the Frame from the list and click on "Stop. " It is now safe to disconnect your Frame. Note: The frame will only access one storage device for photo display. If you are using a memory card to store and display photos,  the frame will not display photos stored in the on-board memory. 

Turning on the Frame
In order to turn on the frame: 1. Ensure that the frame is plugged into the wall. The frame will turn on. 

Pix Frame controls
Press once to shrink or expand a paused photo along the diagonal. Hold the Mode button to turn the frame on or off. Press once to play many pictures as a slideshow or press during play to pause and display one image. Press the Previous Image button once to see the previous image. Press the Next Image button once to see the next picture. The Rotate button will change the orientation of a paused photo. 

Changing the Faceplate
