[. . . ] Remove the water reservoir from its housing by pulling it towards you. Fill the reservoir to the maximum level. Remove the anti-scale cartridge from the bag. Insert the anti-scale cartridge in its casing, the tube shaped part coming against the rib of the reservoir. [. . . ] Remove, shake it for a few seconds and wait for the resultant colour change (approximately 1 minute). 1 or 1 1/2 mauve squares : you can use tap water. 2 or more mauve squares : we advise you to use distilled water for irons. FILLING THE WATER TANK
• Remove the water tank from its housing by pulling it towards you. Fill the water tank to the maximal level (fix limit indicator placed in the container). Never fill the reservoir with hot water. Never add products containing alcohol or essences (perfume, eau de Cologne, lavender essence…) to the water. Water refill while ironing You can fill the reservoir during ironing. You do not need to unplug the appliance. Remove the the anti-scale cartridge from the water tank and fill it. Remove the anti-scale cartridge from the bag. Insert the anti-scale cartridge in its casing, the tube shaped part coming against the rib of the reservoir. Then turn the cartridge until it stumbles. Replace the reservoir by pushing it right into its housing. To obtain steam, the anti-scale cartridge must be inserted into the water tank. THERMOSTAT MATERIAL

THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT
• Adjust the thermostat of the iron according to the fabric. To use steam please ensure that the thermostat dial is set within the 2 and 3 dot settings. - 22 -
TO OPERATE - HEATING PROCESS
• Plug the power cable into an earthed socket. The Power On indicator lights comes on to show that the appliance is switched on. • The generator heating pilot light comes on. Adjust the thermostat of the iron within the 2-3 dots range. You will need to wait for approximately 3 minutes for the iron and generator pilot light to go off. [. . . ] To produce steam again, either the anti-scale cartridge must be changed or distilled water must be used. After changing the cartridge, the unit must be turned off and on again in order to recreate normal operating conditions. ANTI-SCALE CARTRIDGE The reference number to order anti-scale cartridges for this irons is 413 045. The anti-scale cartridges are available in blister-pack from your retailer. [. . . ]
