Hold the handle so that it correctly aligns with the `insert' Indicator on the unit and sits properly in the groove. Turn it slowly to the right so that the portafilter handle is diagonal with respect to the unit. Press the single button if you used a small filter. You have to adjust the coarseness and rotate the reservoir while the device is grinding. If you rotate it while the unit is in standby mode, a bean might get into the grinder and stop it.
